Right on, brother. Weir actually plays some quite tasty slide guitar in this version. Its always pleasantly surprising to find a rendition where Bob isn't playing slide guitar past the 20th fret - because (GASP), his slidle playing can...

... IT CAN ACTUALLY SOUND GOOD...

oh bobby bobby

and JG rips solo after solo on this one too :)

oh and here's a swell write up to go along with the show:

Persuaded my little girl to let me listen to Playin' > Shakedown > Minglewood. Don't get much time on the computer at the weekend. It sounds great. I think I'll always be stuck in the early '70's but thanks for your kindness. And I will listen to the show in it's entirety first chance I get.
Peace

I'm glad you enjoyed :)

I know what you mean about the early 70's... there is such a purity to the music.

Hope you and your daughter had a little dance party to those tunes... :)

I play music for my little sister when we hang out and she enjoys and it and likes to dance but she gets bored of it pretty fast - would rather be playing monsters and princesses.
